Community dialogue
Local questions deserve local attention. Our programmes connect residents, leaders and specialists through civic education and public conversation.
We are Bus Radio 99.9 FM. A community station, a meeting point for ideas, and a voice for the people who call Kajiado home.
Since 2017, we have brought local experiences into the conversation — in the studio, in the field, and on the airwaves in Swahili and Maa.

Bus Radio is a community radio station and community-based organisation operating from Ildamat ward in Kajiado Town. Our slogan, Sauti ya Kajiado, means the Voice of Kajiado. It expresses the responsibility we have to the people we serve.
Our listeners bring different experiences to the airwaves: young people looking for opportunity, women shaping local development, pastoralists and farmers protecting their livelihoods, and residents asking questions about public decisions.
We make space for those perspectives through local news, civic education, interviews, culture, music and sport. Leaders and specialists join conversations that are connected to everyday life, while listeners contribute through calls, messages and social media.
