A community conversation is stronger when more people can take part. Bus Radio’s company profile describes Jenga Mama as a programme created to address women’s issues and development in Kajiado County.

The programme sits within a wider commitment to inclusion, gender equality and community participation. The station’s objectives include supporting women’s leadership, economic empowerment and engagement in public life.

Its documented work also includes campaigns against female genital mutilation, with contributions from community leaders and organisations working on these issues. The profile records earlier collaboration with groups including the Malkia Initiative and Amref Kenya.

Radio makes it possible to bring lived experience and relevant expertise into the same space. Sensitive reporting needs to protect dignity, privacy and the people whose stories are being heard.

This feature describes the station’s documented work and archive conversations. Current programme times are listed separately in the weekly timetable.
